Project Management and Contract Administration

Trevaskis Consulting can provide all aspects of project planning and co-ordination from inception to completion including detailed building inspections, preparation of specifications of work, contract advice, tender procurement and on site supervision of works, culminating in final account preparation.

The Coordination Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 (CDM) has established clear duties for clients, designers and contractors involved in the design, maintenance and construction of buildings. Trevaskis Consulting have the experience and skills to help clients discharge their duties under the regulations and to act as the appointed CDM Coordinator.

Building Insurance Valuations

Trevaskis Consulting has extensive experience of providing clients with advice on building insurance policies, the cover that is required and the preparation of building insurance valuations. We have particular expertise in managing programmes of building insurance valuations for entire property portfolios for managing agents.

All Trevaskis Consulting building insurance valuations are undertaken to target to ensure constant cover and conform to BICS standards. We also understand that sometimes an urgent turnaround is required to maintain adequate insurance cover.

Our surveyors value a wide range of different buildings and facilities and use this experience to inform all our building insurance valuations. We maintain a confidential database of all our valuations in order to build our expertise in this area.

Most residential building insurance valuations are undertaken once every five years however we can supplement this with an annual ‘desktop’ review to factor in inflation and other marketplace or local changes if required by our client.

Planned Maintenance Programmes

Successful property management hinges on good forward planning and budgetry control of the maintenance needs of the property and estate.

Trevaskis Consulting provides expert advice and support to managers and landlords on the long term plans for the maintenance of your property and undertake building maintenance appraisals to develop costed planned preventive maintenance programmes.

Party Wall Awards

The Party Wall etc. Act 1996 dictates how someone who either wishes to carry out work covered by the Act (the "Building Owner") or receives notification under the Act of proposed adjacent work by the work (the "Adjoining Owner").

Trevaskis Consulting can act as either the building or adjoining owner’s surveyor we offer professional advice on all aspects of the Party Wall legislation, preparing Awards and Schedules of Condition.

We will base the Party Wall Award upon the best practice document drafted by the RICS and amend it to reflect our clients’ specific work.

Building Defect Diagnosis

Sometimes the root cause of a repair problem is difficult to diagnose. If not resolved quickly enough this can lead to a more complex problem arising or damage occurring or the need to make a claim for insurance or compensation.

Trevaskis Consulting can offer help with diagnosing defects in buildings, large or small and provide advice on how to remedy the problem. If necessary we can help residential owners to make a claim against insurers or warranty holders. In these cases we can undertake detailed inspections to identify the problems and make recommendations for resolution, including report preparation to assist in any claims.
